Rishihood University's Ashok Goel Library is hosting an international conference titled "IP Rights in the AI Era: Modern Challenges for Innovative Library Services.” | Frontlist

The International Conference on "Intellectual Property Rights in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Challenges in Modern Innovative Libraries Services" was recently held at the Ashok Goel Library at Rishihood University in Sonipat, Haryana. The conference was co-organized by The Indian Law Institute (ILI) in New Delhi and sponsored by the Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, Kolkata, West Bengal, and Knowledge Partners National Book Trust, India, Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi, and Read India, Gurugram, Haryana.

The goal was to investigate the most recent advances in AI research, intellectual property rights, and knowledge management in Modern Innovative Library Services.

Over 120 library professionals, faculty members, students, key officials, and experts in the fields of AI, IPR, and Copyrights from both national and international backgrounds attended the event. The distinguished group deliberated on the influence of AI on academic libraries, research, publications, and knowledge management.

The inaugural day began with a recitation of Saraswati Vandana and Deep Prajawalan, which was graced by distinguished personalities such as Prof. Shobhit Mathur, Vice Chancellor of Rishihood University; Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Chief Guest, Director Indian Law Institute (ILI) New Delhi; Ajay Gupta, Founder CEO of Bachpan Play School and Co-founder, Rishihood University; Prof. (Dr.) Brijesh Kumar.

The following are some of the conference's key highlights:

Prof. Shobhit Mathur, Vice Chancellor of Rishihood University, delivered the inauguration address, and Dr. Rama Nand Malviya provided a welcome remark. Mathur focused on the influence of AI on academic libraries, while Dr. Brijesh Kumar's keynote talk addressed the impact of AI on intellectual property policy. Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, the keynote speaker, underlined the importance of sufficient standards and rules for AI in Intellectual Property Rights.

A total of 78 technical papers were submitted, with 59 accepted following a thorough peer-review procedure. AI in Higher Education, IPR Policy, Patent Laws, Ethical Considerations, Digitalization, and Copyright Challenges were among the subjects discussed in technical workshops, panel discussions, and keynote speeches.

Prof. Shobhit Mathur, Ajay Gupta, Dr. Rama Nand Malviya, and other dignitaries released the conference proceedings. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Dean and Professor, Rashtram School of Public Leadership, made the valedictory address on the second day, thanking the speakers, panelists, and participants.

The conference's success, with attendees from all around the world, represents a huge step forward in AI research, intellectual property rights, and information management. Selected research articles have been edited and tastefully published with ISBN.

Dr. Ramanand Malviya, Conference Convener and University Librarian of Rishihood University, extended gratitude to all contributors in his closing remarks, promising to build on this success in future conferences.
